Why WhatsApp
South African patients already message their clinic on WhatsApp — for reminders, questions, sometimes trying to book with no system to catch it. We built CarePing on the WhatsApp Business API rather than a generic chatbot platform, so the booking, confirmation and reminder flow is purpose-built, not bolted on.
Why Johannesburg & Gauteng
Our first clinics were in Johannesburg, and Gauteng remains where most of our practices are based — Sandton and Randburg through to Pretoria and the East Rand. Our support and onboarding is tuned to how South African clinics actually run, not an international template.
